Toyota Certified Service Center Santee - (5) Star Review on Yelp

  • I have a car service and I use Lexus in my fleet. I have been taking my cars to Toyota of Santee for about a year and a half and I really appreciate all the service they provide, timely repairs and the prices beat Lexus any day of the week.

Scott is my service provider and we work very well together. He understands that my cars are my business and makes sure I get the necessary repairs.

    Thank you... -Lynette E.

The Camry has been on the road for the past 30 years.

We think it's been part of more first kisses, job interviews, midnight snack runs, college road trips, soccer practices and tailgate parties than in any other car in America. Huge claim, we know, and we need your help to prove it. We want to hear about your experiences with Camry.

2012_cameryhybrid
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) today announced that 15 Toyota, Lexus, and Scion vehicles earned Top Safety Pick awards for the 2012 model year, more than any other automaker.

Commenting on today’s announcement, Steve St. Angelo, executive vice president of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc., said, “Safety is a core value that dates back to the foundation of our company. IIHS’ awards further recognize our commitment to helping protect drivers and passengers.”

The 2012 model year winners are: Toyota Avalon, Camry, Corolla, Highlander, Prius, Prius v, Sienna, Tundra Crew Cab, Venza, and Yaris; Lexus CT 200h and RX, and Scion tC, xB, and xD.

According to the IIHS, Top Safety Pick awards recognize vehicles that do the best job of protecting people in front, side, rollover, and rear crashes based on ratings in IIHS tests.

Toyota Prius GT300 coming to SuperGT

Toyota-prius-gt300628
We heard the rumors in Tokyo, but wouldn't believe it until we saw it. And here it is. Toyota will be replacing its Axio racer with a Prius for next year's SuperGT season.

The touring car Prius will reportedly run in the GT300 class against the recently released Subaru BRZ and Honda CR-Z, the latter of which – like the Prius – will use some kind of hybrid drivetrain in the championship. We don't have any hard details on the powertrain just yet, but expect more to be revealed sometime in January.

New Toyota FCV-R Fuel-Cell Concept Heading for Production in 2015

Toyota-fcv-r-101
Toyota's conceptual products at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show are a bit more than crowd pleasers as both the FT-EV III mini and the FCV-R study pictured here, are slated to enter production.

The FCV-R is a next-generation fuel-cell concept model fueled by hydrogen that Toyota says is planned for launch in 2015.

According to the Japanese automaker, the fuel-cell unit is located beneath the specially designed body thus saving space with the concept being able to accommodate up to four passengers and their luggage.

The next generation fuel cell stack consists of a 70 MPa high-pressure hydrogen tank, which said to provide a driving range of approximately 700 km or about 435 miles.

Being that the FCV-R not only resembles the Prius in looks but is also very similar in size at 4,745 mm long, 1,790 mm wide and 1,510 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm, it is possible that the two cars share the same platform architecture.
